I may be a nutritionist now, but that wasn’t always the case. In fact, I could barely make a cup of tea when I moved from Europe to Canada in 2004. My friends would buy me cookbooks for Christmas as a subtle hint to learn how to cook.
So what happened to turn my cooking and eating challenges into a success?
It all started when my son begun having health issues such as eczema, diaper rash, red patches on his cheeks, an asthma-like cough, and picky eating. We tried special/pricey creams, ‘waiting it out’, antibiotics and puffers, but new symptoms kept popping up. On top of everything else, we were challenged by my son’s angry behavior that seemed to be unusual for a child his age.
I could not keep ignoring the obvious symptoms that he had been showing for years. The symptoms were never extreme, but I started to worry that they could develop into something more serious.
I decided to go back to school and educate myself to be able to help and support my son’s body. As a mom, I knew that things were off balance, and as a nutritionist, I learned how to deal with it.
Fast forward 5 years, after many dinners and inedible baked goods thrown in the garbage, thousands of research hours, endless brainstorming on meal ideas, piles of books on nutrition and child-caring, and years spent educating myself.
Today, I’ve combined my personal experience as a mom with my professional expertise as a registered holistic nutritionist, into a powerful solution that can show you how to make healthier family eating more manageable and efficient.
I am happy to report that my son Callum is now a happy, thriving boy who can focus at school and enjoy every day at his very best potential.
